  • Reshaping necklines using bias binding or enlargement techniques.
  • Replacing and modifying fly zippers and waistband elastics.

  • Transfer precise alteration markings onto garments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Measure and evaluate the final altered garment against given specifications to ensure professional fit and finish.

Admissions

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

Aged 16 years and above

 and 2

Course fee funding eligibility : SCs and PRs (Self-sponsored individuals must be at least 21 years old)

 and 3

GCE ‘N’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR WSQ ES WPLN Level 4 and above

 and 4

ALL Students are required to have basic knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office

 and 5

All students must be competent or possess equivalent skills and knowledge for the following competencies: Basic Drafting and Sewing

 and 6

All students must be competent or possess equivalent skills and knowledge for the following competencies: Basic Alteration Techniques

Graduation

To graduate, you must fulfil the following requirements

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module

 and 2

Be found competent for written, practical and oral assessments

International Students

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

Aged 16 years and above

High School Diploma equivalent to GCE ‘N’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Pass Tembusu Entrance Test

English Language Requirement: Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR IELTS score 5.5 or TOEFL score 46

Items Required For Class

Before your class begins, we'd like you to make sure that you have the following items so that the class can proceed smoothly.

  • Garment - Tembusu will provide samples.
  • Tape Measures and Pins - Accessories.

Students are required to bring their Stationery too. List of stationery has been stated below.

  1. Pen
  2. Correction tape/fluid
  3. 2B Pencil (and sharpener or extra lead depending on type of pencil used)
  4. Eraser/Rubber
  5. 1-inch paper masking tape
  6. Glue stick
  7. Notebook
  8. Calculator

Sewing Toolkit and Marker paper

Attached is the new Tembusu Sewing Toolkit list and Marker Paper requirements. The toolkit is required for ALL students who take Tembusu’s Sewing Courses for all new sign-ups from 1 March 2024 onwards.

FAQs

We highly discourage you from missing any classes since the entire program is designed to be hands-on intensive. There is also a minimum attendance requirement of 75% of training hours for Singaporean and PRs, and 90% of training hours for international students. If you do not meet the 75% attendance requirement, you will not be eligible to enjoy subsidies nor to sit for the assessment. Make sure you block off your time during your training with us or find an intake option that will ensure you do not miss any classes. You will only wish that you had more time in the class!

Yes! You can use any SkillsFuture Credits you have to pay for course fees.

We do not offer any make-up or replacement classes.
