Student’s Pass Application Guide 

Tembusu Institute All international students must hold a valid Student’s Pass issued by the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) to study at Tembusu Institute.

Documents and Information Required Before Submitting a Student’s Pass Application Before submitting your application, Tembusu Institute will register your details with ICA’s SOLAR system to generate a SOLAR+ Registration Number (Student’s Pass Application Number), which is required for your application. You will be notified once this number is generated. Please ensure all your personal details are accurate. Inform your Student Ambassador immediately if there are any errors.

Items to Prepare Before Submitting the eForm for Student’s Pass (STP) Application:

  • A valid, signed student contract for the duration of studies for which you are applying for the Student’s Pass.
  • A copy of your passport biodata page and birth certificate (if applicable).
  • Your personal details, including: Previous countries/places of residence Educational background Employment history Source of financial support Personal information of your parents, spouse, and/or siblings (if applicable).
  • Your residential address and contact details in Singapore (ensure a local number is provided for ICA to contact you).
  • A valid and reachable email address: Ensure the email address entered in the eForm is correct and accessible. No changes to the email will be allowed once submitted.
  • All ICA correspondences, including digital issuance of the Student’s Pass (if approved), will be sent to this email. A recent, passport-sized, digital, color photograph taken within the last 3 months.

Student’s Pass Application Guide

Prior to your Student's Pass submission to ICA, Tembusu Institute will need to register your particulars through the ICA SOLAR system with the following details:
  • Your name, date of birth, gender, and nationality
  • Course details, commencement and end dates
  • SOLAR application (Registration Acknowledgement Letter)

Please ensure the following when submitting eForm 16 at ICA SOLAR system:
  • All particulars are correct, including programme and start date
  • NRIC/FIN of parents (if applicable)
  • Singapore address and contact (optional)
  • A reachable email address

A non-refundable fee of $45 must be paid within 7 days of submitting eForm 16. Payment via credit/debit card or internet banking only.
Processing Time:
  • No Visa Required – Within 1 week
  • Visa Required – Within 2 weeks

You can check your Student's Pass application status via ICA SOLAR system. If approved, the IPA letter (with Single Journey Visa if needed) will be provided.

If your course lasts 6 months or more, you must pass a medical exam. Submit the Medical Examination Report to ICA via SOLAR for digital Student Pass issuance.

Log in to ICA SOLAR to complete COF steps. Make required payments ($60 issuance fee, $30 multiple-journey fee if applicable). Complete via e-appointment only.

After completing formalities, you’ll receive a login email from no-reply@file.gov.sg within a week. You can retrieve your Digital Student Pass using either Singpass or a non-Singpass login.
