  • Accurately determine fabric requirements for taking in or releasing seams after meticulous pinning, ensuring perfect fit adjustments.
  • Transfer and mark alterations efficiently onto garments using expert marking techniques to maintain accuracy during sewing.
  • Execute high-quality alterations such as shortening, taking in, and letting out with proper sewing and finishing techniques using industrial sewing machines.

Admissions

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

Aged 16 years and above

 and 2

Course fee funding eligibility : SCs and PRs (Self-sponsored individuals must be at least 21 years old)

 and 3

GCE ‘N’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR WSQ ES WPLN Level 4 and above

 and 4

ALL Students are required to have basic knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office

Graduation

To graduate, you must fulfil the following requirements

1

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module

 and 2

Be found competent during written, practical and oral assessments

International Students

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

1

Aged 16 years and above

 and 2

High School Diploma equivalent to GCE ‘N’ Level with 3 credits including English and Mathematics OR Qualifications from professional institutes may be considered on a case-by-case basis

 and 3

Pass Tembusu Entrance Test

 and 4

English Language Requirement: Possess a minimum credit in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent OR IELTS score 5.5 or TOEFL score 46

Graduation

To enrol, you must fulfil the following requirements

75% attendance rate of total training hours per module. Student Pass Holders – a minimum of 90% attendance per month will be required

Items Required For Class

Before your class begins, we'd like you to make sure that you have the following items so that the class can proceed smoothly.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Fabric/Lining requirements are based on standard medium sizing. Please purchase additional yardage for larger sizes.
  • You will need 3 pieces of garments: 1 woven top, 1 woven bottom, 1 knit t-shirt
  • 1 spool of matching colour for each garment (100m to 250m, 100% polyester).
  • Tape Measures and Pins - Accessories.

Students are required to bring their Stationery too. List of stationery has been stated below.

  1. Pen
  2. Correction tape/fluid
  3. 2B Pencil (and sharpener or extra lead depending on type of pencil used)
  4. Eraser/Rubber
  5. 1-inch paper masking tape
  6. Glue stick
  7. Notebook
  8. Calculator

Sewing Toolkit and Marker paper

Attached is the new Tembusu Sewing Toolkit list and Marker Paper requirements. The toolkit is required for ALL students who take Tembusu’s Sewing Courses for all new sign-ups from 1 March 2024 onwards.

Price as follows:

We do not offer any make-up or replacement classes.

We highly discourage you from missing any classes since the entire program is designed to be hands-on intensive. There is also a minimum attendance requirement of 75% of training hours for Singaporean and PRs, and 90% of training hours for international students. If you do not meet the 75% attendance requirement, you will not be eligible to enjoy subsidies nor to sit for the assessment. Make sure you block off your time during your training with us or find an intake option that will ensure you do not miss any classes. You will only wish that you had more time in the class!

Yes! You can use any SkillsFuture Credits you have to pay for course fees.
