Managing Quality and Sustainability in Healthcare Textiles

Short Course Others
Build practical skills in quality assurance and sustainable practices for healthcare textiles with Tembusu Institute’s Managing Quality and Sustainability in Healthcare Textiles course.
Overview

This two-day programme equips healthcare staff to specify, buy, inspect and manage textiles with confidence. Participants build practical knowledge of fibres, yarns, fabric construction and finishes, and learn how these drive performance, comfort and lifespan in hospital linen.

The programme then covers quality management, from supplier QA and incoming inspection to defect identification, testing and sample evaluation. It closes with sustainability in healthcare textiles: certifications, reusable versus disposable choices, circular procurement and writing sustainability into tenders.

Classroom sessions are reinforced by three hands-on activities: fabric identification including a burn test, GSM and specification comparison, and stain removal and laundering effects.
